1 can (12 ounce) corn, well drained
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 medium green pepper, (finely chopped)
3 tablespoon butter or margarine
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded American or mild Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon sugar
2 eggs (well beaten)
crushed cornflakes

In a saucepan over low heat, sauté onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Slowly stir in the flour then add the milk stirring constantly until the mixture is thick and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese, sugar, corn and then the eggs.

Pour into a greased casserole and top with the crushed cornflakes. Set in a shallow pan of hot water and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.
