Baked or Shirred Eggs
Heat the oven to 325 degrees. For each egg, butter (or cooking spray) a 5 or 6 ounce baking dish (ramekin baking dish).
1. For each serving break an egg into the buttered dish.
2. Season top with salt or pepper (or not).
3. If desired top each with 1 tablespoon milk (soy or rice milk), dot with butter or top with shredded cheese.
4. Bake eggs in preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes depending on how done you want your egg and also the depth of the baking dish. Whites should be set and yolks somewhat soft unless you want them hard.
5. Serve in the baking dish.
