Caramel Topping

1/2 lb (28 caramels) bag of caramel candy
1/2 cup hot milk

Place caramels in hot milk in double boiler or use a heavy skillet stirring constantly until caramels are dissolved. This is used basically for sundaes but can be used in coffees – makes enough for ten sundaes. Refrigerate any leftovers.
