Chocolate Chip Cake

You will need either an angel food or bundt cake pan.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour the cake pan.

1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
8 ounces of sour cream
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounce package of chocolate chips

In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar until well blended. Add the sour cream, then the eggs, flour, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Save 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips for the top. With a large spoon fold in the remaining chocolate chips until they are well distributed throughout the batter. Pour into the prepared pan, sprinkle the 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over the top and bake for about 45 minutes. Cool for about 15 minutes then invert onto a serving plate. Cool completely before serving.
