Country Apple Dessert

Cake Base:

1 box yellow cake mix
1/3 cup butter or margarine (softened)
1 egg

Topping:

1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan.

1. In a large bowl combine the cake mix, butter and egg at low speed until crumbly.

2. Press into the pan.

3. Spread the apple pie filling over cake mixture.

4. In a bowl combine the brown sugar, walnuts and cinnamon; sprinkle over the apple pie filling.

5. In a small bowl blend the sour cream, egg and vanilla then spoon evenly over the sugar mixture.

6. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until the topping is a golden brown.

7. Can be served warm or cooled.
