1/8 cup softened butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1 cup hot milk
1 tablespoon hot Hungarian paprika (or to taste)
Combine butter, salt, flour, white pepper and milk into a blender. Blend at the lowest speed then switch to high for about 30 seconds. Pour mixture into a double boiler and cook over simmering water for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in paprika to taste. This sauce looks very pink.
