Lottie's Golden Salad

1 package lemon jello
2 cups boiling water
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup crushed pineapple (drained)
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 tablespoon vinegar
mayonnaise
green lettuce

Dissolve the jello in boiling water. Cool in refrigerator until thickened. Add the carrots, cabbage, pineapple, vinegar and salt. Pour into the mold and chill until firm. Serve on crisp lettuce leaves with a dollop of mayonnaise. Serves 6.
