Salmon Macaroni Salad

1 cup uncooked macaroni (elbow or shell)
1 cup salmon (canned) shredded
1/2 cup celery (diced)
1 cup peas (drained)
salt and pepper (to taste)
mayonnaise
2 teaspoons onion (finely minced) (optional)
1 bunch of lettuce

Cook the macaroni in boiling water until tender, drain. Cover with cold water then drain. In a bowl combine macaroni, salmon, celery, onion and peas. Add enough mayonnaise to moisten. Season to taste. Mix lightly with two forks. Chill. Serve on a bed of lettuce. Makes about 6 servings.
