Traditional Meatloaf

2 lbs lean ground beef
1 1/2 cups stewed tomatoes (canned)
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 slices crumbled bread
2 eggs (unbeaten)
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
4 strips bacon (optional)

catsup or tomato sauce

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl (except catsup or tomato sauce). Pack in a large loaf pan, rounding the top. Top with bacon (if using), catsup or tomato sauce.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 8 - 10 people
