Vanilla Frosting
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 egg white
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup boiling water
In a medium bowl mix together the sugar, cream of tartar, egg white and salt. Gradually add the 1/2 cup boiling water and beat on high for about ten minutes until it reaches spreading consistency. Add vanilla and stir into frosting. Enough for a 8 or 9 inch cake.
